| We are well aware that better education equals better citizens, and better
citizens equals a better country in which to live.
The Los Angeles County Schools' Dollars for Scholars (LACSDFS) program is committed to improving the quality of
life for vulnerable youth by providing the tools and resources needed to: enter college, earn a degree/certificate, and
enter the workforce.
Each year in June, LACSDFS holds its annual scholarship award ceremony to recognize scholarship recipients. Alumni scholarship
recipients and guest speakers from various colleges are invited to share information on life at the postsecondary level.
LACSDFS has awarded over 1,500 scholarships to students who show great academic promise, and who demonstrate a financial
need.
LASCDFS provides:
 |
 |
Over $35,000 annually in scholarship funds to students of the Los Angeles County Office of Education; |
