A native of Compton, California, Rev. Jody Moore grew up in the United Methodist Church. Certain of his calling as a young boy to preach the Gospel,
he delivered his first sermon at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Compton at eighteen years of age. After high school he attended Cerritos
College before going on to receive his degree in Economics from Texas Southern University.
Pastor Moore has had a successful career in Human Resource Management. Beginning his career as a branch manager for Chuck E. Cheese's, then becoming
a senior HR manager at a southern California manufacturing company, he later advanced to regional HR manager for Denny's restaurant chain before culminating his
HR career as a senior staff member of Faithful Central Bible Church.
Pastor Moore's career in ministry was launched at Alhambra First United Methodist Church where he served as youth pastor and ministered across
cultural and racial lines. His first "flock" was a group of Chinese American youths, members of which he continues to mentor and counsel.
Pastor Moore has also preached at various Korean churches across the country and has visited many ministries abroad.
In September of 1999 Pastor Moore married Keniya Ulmer, the youngest daughter of Bishop Kenneth C. Ulmer of Faithful Central Bible Church.
They have three children: Marcquel, Kamryn, and Raegan.
In December of 2003 he received a Master's Degree from Talbot School of Theology. Pastor Moore has plans to begin a Doctoral
program in the fall of 2005.
